The 'Back Purlin Clamp' System is a clever adaptation designed to provide a faster method to install temporary roof edge protection along the gutter line of a roof. The main benefit of this system is that installation of each individual post set work can be completed from the one location, meaning less movement of EWP plant. Installation is achieved by fixing a Back Purlin Clamp to the purlin needle and then hanging it over the second purlin. This is possible whether the purlin is 'toed' (facing) toward or away from the gutter line. When the needle is clamped to the fascia purlin with a 'G' Clamp, both clamps are locked in and the system provides an extremely strong anchor point for installation of posts and handrail. This system is available for sale or dry hire. Clamps can be purchased individually where providing an addition to an existing purlin system.
Our Drop Purlin Clamp provides up to 160mm clearance where you are installing handrail at a fascia or barge end and need to drop below an obstruction such as a tie-bar or box gutter. It can be clamped but also screwed on if necessary. We have many different approaches to solving day to day challenges with providing edge protection for commercial roofing. The 'G' Clamp System is our most popular edge protection system for use on purlins. This is an easy to use system which allows roof guardrail to anchor to purlins without the need for screwing, bolting or penetrating the purlins in any way. The G Clamp System is lightweight, versatile and simple to install. Each post set requires two clamps and a needle, which can placed inside the purlin at gutter ends and both inside or underneath the purlin at the roof barge line. Standard needle lengths can be provided at 1m, 1.2m, 1.5m or 1.75m to suit a range of purlin spans. If greater span is required between purlins an extension piece is also available. This system is available for dry hire and purchase.
Our Long Sliders provide an alternative solution for temporary edge protection where clearance is required below purlins to avoid obstacles at the fascia or barge lines. Long Sliders provide up to 80mm of clearance. Long Sliders can also be used vertically and fix to steel, timber and even concrete to provide temporary edge protection. Long Sliders and associated systems are available for sale or dry hire.
